CSP Student, Kevin Lunzalu, Is Leading at the Forefront of Ocean Plastics Collaboration

Kevin is currently helping organize the following workshop aimed at designing collaboration frameworks to tackle ocean plastics. If you are an ocean professional (early career or experienced) that is working on ocean plastics and interested in joining the event, please see below.

Workshop: The future of ocean plastics: Designing diverse collaboration frameworks

Free virtual workshop on April 5, 6 and 7, 2022 in sessions spanning multiple time zones across the globe.

This workshop, designed by a team of Early Career Ocean Professionals (ECOPs), aims to facilitate a knowledge exchange between ECOPs, experienced ocean professionals, and a diverse array of stakeholders within and beyond academia who are working on aspects of ocean plastic pollution.

Each day we will explore one theme with a panel of experts (morning session) followed by an interactive discussion with all participants (afternoon session):

  • April 5: Public & community engagement: art, documentaries and beyond
  • April 6: Innovative technologies to monitor and mitigate ocean plastics
  • April 7: Policies and actions for a plastic-free ocean

Why join? Valuable input from you (the participants) during the interactive discussions could be included in the scientific paper we are drafting, so make your ideas heard to be a co-author!
