CSP offers a Master of Science that will prepare ten outstanding students each year for leadership in coastal science and policy with experience-based learning, hands-on research, and a deep understanding of the multifaceted problems that face coastal systems. Small cohorts, along with need-based financial aid, will allow for students to forge lasting relationships with faculty, professionals, and practitioners in the field. The program will focus practical training to provide integrated solutions to social and ecological challenges, leveraging UCSC’s long-established leadership in coastal sustainability. Graduates of this program will help ensure that the interdisciplinary knowledge and insights generated by coastal scientists inform real-world solutions and create measurable, scalable change.
