UN Plastics Treaty Cindy Matush, Margaret Spring, Kenin Lunzalu

CSP student Cindy Matuch is at the third session of the UN Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution. She is there as part of her capstone project, in collaboration with Margaret Spring, VP of Conservation and Science at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Cindy’s capstone project aims to address the global plastic pollution crisis, ensuring that the Global Plastic Treaty negotiations are informed by scientific evidence. Her project involves conversation and relationship-building with global scientists and relevant interested parties by translating scientific knowledge into policy-relevant language.
